The successful candidate must posses a user-centered attitude and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
The IT Junior Developer works closely with the business analyst, project managers and other members of the team to analyze and refine business requirements for new features and design efficient solutions.
The IT Junior Developer provides appropriate documentation for design decisions, estimating assumptions, code modules, and performance metrics as required by organization standards.
The individual in this role develops and codes solutions from requirement specifications and/or use cases, defines, conducts and/or participates in testing (i.

, unit, system integration) and participates in development walkthroughs.
The IT Junior Developer ensures software development meets standards for programming, design, performance, quality, and security.
The individual identifies and recommends areas for improvement in planning, design, development, and testing.
The IT Junior Developer learns current forms application (Adobe Output Designer) and new forms application (Doc Origins) to become a subject matter expert for conversion project.
An undergraduate degree in computer science or software engineering is preferred.
Knowledge and experience on Guidewire InsuranceNow application is a plus.
Knowledge and experience in Personal Lines Insurance (Auto/Home) is a plus.
The individual must have the ability to demonstrate technical competency with application development including databases, desktop applications, web applications, and data integration projects.
Strong knowledge of JAVA, MySQL, XML and HTML is a plus.
Must be able to effectively express ideas clearly, concisely and logically in both verbal and written form.
Also, must be able to clearly communicate problems and resolutions in a non-technical manner as needed.
