com/hr Part-Time Position Available Prepare, staff, and strike events held in the Wildey Theatre.
This includes working with concert and theatrical sound, lighting, projection, staging, and rigging equipment.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment required.
Confidence and musical understanding when communicating with Musicians is a must.
A major portion of working hours are nights and weekends.
Part-Time Production Staff Member $15 per hour 10-20 Hours Per week and will include nights and weekends.
Job Responsibilities - Perform Production Staff Member responsibilities at entertainment events and provide excellent customer service at all times.
Prepare the theatrical venue as instructed.
Setup and strike sound, lighting, projection, staging, and rigging requirements for events.
Greet patrons as approached or required by specific production assignment.
Operate designated equipment as required by specific production assignment.
Interact with patrons and renter organizations as required by specific production assignment.
Maintain appropriate noise level as designated by specific production.
Help enforce facility policies for patrons, renter organizations, other Production Staff Members, and any other person as fit or required for specific production.
Establish and maintain a safe/respectful work environment.
Maintain an active awareness for safety hazards throughout the facility.
Notify supervisor of any apparent hazards in the facility.
Acknowledge patrons and other Production Staff Members' concerns about safety or any aspect of the work environment.
Notify supervisor of patrons and other Production Staff Members' concerns.
Observe and report any onsite injuries.
Assist any injured patron, staff member, or other guest of the facility in filling out injury report documents.
Clean, sweep, and mop areas as designated.
Clean and maintain theatrical fixtures/items.
Notify supervisor of needs or repairs in all theatrical fixtures/items.
Monitor first aid kits and usable safety supplies.
Notify supervisor of restocking needs as items are us Prior experience in concert sound and lighting or technical theater preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS - Prior experience in concert sound and lighting or technical theater preferred.
Ability to operate theatrical equipment, including but not limited to, lighting consoles, sound consoles, Genie lifts, and projectors.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service and exceptional follow-through; ability to interact effectively with patrons, City employees and volunteers in person or via telephone.
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally and respectfully.
Ability to manage multiple actions/projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
Sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Heightened awareness of, and the ability to maintain, a safe work environment.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to see well in low levels of light.
Ability to discern different noises, especially in a noisy environment.
Ability to maintain a steady grasp on an object.
Ability to reach high, overhead levels and low floor levels by either reach or by bending of the back or knees.
Ability to deal with close proximities to others and confined spaces.
Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to deal with heights over twelve feet.
